floor tile scraps, debris and lots of dust out of huge dumpster to see if I can find the chassis to this cabinet. I think the chassis is elsewhere as I pulled out alot of bags and stuff already. DOes anybody know the likely chassis it would have had? It looks like mid to late 70's RCA to me. If someone knew the likely chassis I would be more likely to look more for it.
I will use verneer from the top to replace small section at lower side of my '64Antionette that is missing and the screws can give me exact replacements for a few missing ones on the back of my '72 RCA hec.
Thanks, John

It might not be worth it depending on what the crap in the dumpster is. No set is worth digging through a bunch of asbestos to save:no: No asbestos? Dig like mad my friend!:D

This is what happens when you drive 50+ miles to save a TV that someone said made its way into a dumpster. Don't think I'll be doing that again...

Looks like alot of work but the chassis looks so clean I think it was worth it. I would have definately fished out those Zentih parts.
The parts I thought might be RCA were under alot more dirty and dusty stuff if there at all so I had to pass to respect my lungs. I think they were not there because I did move stuff around to the point the chassis should not have been that flat if it was the one I hoped for.
I will continue to save money to offer good prices for what I want and hope they are still available in the near future :)

reminds me of a radio chassis that I scrapped, the thing was sitting in the woods for a few decades before I yanked the tubes, I come back a few years latter and it was all crushed! I figure it must have been run over by a snow mobile.

Hey Doug! I remember that all too well! I was gonna go out there and help until you reported the condition of the set.:tears:
