$500 is just a little too much for a September, 1978 19-inch Sony TV. Oh, I paid $0 for a very rare 1972 Sony KV-1201 Trintron right here in North Bay, meaning I got it absolutely free on Jan. 17, 2011. There's really been a trend with these very insane prices for TVs in the last month. With $500, you can get a nice CTC-5 for that instead.
Wow, some people on eBay and Craigslist really need to get a grip with those prices for TVs. And to top it off in this case, that person selling that 1978 Sony Trintron in Chicago says he will just keep on wasting his time posting that ad until he gets his asking price-that's not going to happen with $500 in my lifetime, no way.

That's a nice set, and may be a KV-1713; the last 17" non-remote Trinitron. Worth at least a strong $6.

That same model was my first brand-new color TV, in 1979. If I had room here, I would actually like to own a good working one. I remember when I blew the power-supply diodes in mine, when I learned what a "hot chassis" was as I connected the ground clip of my oscilloscope's probe to the TV.
