I heard that there were non Predicta sets that used the same CRT as the Predicta. Does anyone know what sets those were?

"The tube turns easily left and right, as well as up and down."

Huh? I don't think so ! :scratch2:

Interesting add, I think I sense a defected ebay seller. Its almost mandatory to know the condition of that crt before buying.

I don't know about that, the Predicta tube had a very short neck and an odd heater voltage, I think it was engineered specifically for the Predicta.

There are other tubes that will work in the Predicta but they have a standard 6.3v heater and a longer neck, you have to put spacers on the rear cover to accommodate them.

The 17" Predicta and the Philco Seventeener (some of them) share a common tube, also short necked and odd heater.
