Does anyone know what sets those were? jr_tech 03-25-2011, 10:34 PM "The tube turns easily left and right, as well as up and down." Huh? I don't think so ! :scratch2: jr ctc17 03-25-2011, 11:56 PM Interesting add, I think I sense a defected ebay seller. Its almost mandatory to know the condition of that crt before buying. Electrohome 03-26-2011, 12:07 AM This same Philco Predicta is on eBay currently with 1 bid as of late Friday evening. andy 03-26-2011, 12:45 AM ... Eric H 03-26-2011, 01:12 AM I heard that there were non Predicta sets that used the same CRT as the Predicta. Does anyone know what sets those were? I don't know about that, the Predicta tube had a very short neck and an odd heater voltage, I think it was engineered specifically for the Predicta. There are other tubes that will work in the Predicta but they have a standard 6.3v heater and a longer neck, you have to put spacers on the rear cover to accommodate them. The 17" Predicta and the Philco Seventeener (some of them) share a common tube, also short necked and odd heater.
