A friend came across a folder at an estate sale and gave it to me the other day. It has this diagram and chassis picture in it. It looks to be a pre-war set because of the power transformer high voltage stage. Also, 2000 volts is not much so it had to be a small CRT. Any clues? Sorry my pictures aren't better but my camera has no macro.

Very early postwar. It has FM sound and uses some 6SN7s, but it's the miniature 6J6 in the front end that clinches it. It may well be for use with a 5BP4 though.

ETA: It's a Telekit. The full manual (http://earlytelevision.org/images/telekit_7_manual.pdf) posted at ETF specifies a 7GP4.

2000 volts on a 7 inch CRT.... That sounds very optimistic to me. Looks like it was a fun project tho!
Thanks for the info!
