Hello everyone, I could use some help in finding a set of knobs for my Motorola 9VT1. I talked with Dave, Parts2many, this morning and he has many different knobs of that type. I sent him some pictures that I copied from tvhistory but they are not clear enough for dave to make an exact fit.
If someone has a set for this model and is willing to pull them off and get a few good pictures of them it would be much appreciated. Here's a picture of the set as it is now and the knobs I'm looking for.

Here is a link to a source of repro knobs for the Motorola sets. http://www.renovatedradios.com/parts.html
I have a 9VT1 also and I plan to order some knobs for it. These are great sets and they are fairly easy to restore. I plan to refinish the cabinet on mine and start using it again.

Unfortunately, those are VT71 knobs. The 9VT1 uses different knobs although the chassis is the same.

My 9VT1 uses those knobs. I recently found out that some 9VT1 sets used the clear lucite ones like some of the 12 inch Motorolas used. I guess it depends on exactly when the set was made. I have not seen the 9VT1 in any ads except 1949 print ads.

The 9T1 Bakelite 8" set uses the Clear channel knob and 3 Red knobs with the Motorola Squiggle in the center Brass, I've never seen a 9VT1 like that but it's possible I suppose.
I have the same 9VT1 that's missing the two small knobs, unfortunately they are a different color than all the other Motorola's, not that any of them are easy to find.
The ETF has a 9T1, and even that set has two incorrect knobs.

The two outer knobs are wrong or the center brass disks have fallen out. Interesting story. I have two 9T1s that I bought from the same seller. They both have the correct knob sets. As the story goes a friend of the sellers father passed away and he was a hoarder. They found the two sets under his bed. They were a little pricey but they were complete front to back so I got them. They have both been restored and they do play extremely well. Thanks to everybody for looking. I think I will hold out for a set of knobs that look like the ones shown on the set in my photobucket. All red. They may be wrong but they look cool and that may be the best I can do.

I believe the Orangish Red knobs are correct for the 9VT1. Mine has the same channel selector and fine tuning knobs but the outer knobs have been replaced with some generic brown ones.

Eric, you might be luckier than you think. The outer correct outer knobs seem to be available, at least Dave offered me those two and I have another offer from a different seller as well. Outer two only though. I haven't had an offer for the inner knobs.

That would be great, can you let them know I'm interested in them?
