View Full Version : Happy Holidays!
Dave S 12-10-2010, 01:47 PM Happy holidays to all the great folks who hang out here. I've learned so much from you sometimes I fear my head will explode!
I think I've posted this card here before (it's getting a little long in the tooth as you can tell from the VHS tape!) but I still like it, so here it is again for 2010!

Yeah, but my family called me Jack since my Dad was John.

Is that a UHF converter box on top of the set?
jeyurkon 12-26-2010, 07:16 PM No, it's a VHF booster. It was really needed where we lived. We were in Sharpsville, PA across the border from Ohio. With a directional antenna and the booster we could pick up about 13 channels. Some were on the same channel, but a different direction. Pittsburgh and Cleveland were the furthest stations we could receive routinely.
mpatoray 12-26-2010, 09:25 PM John,
Ah yes, i know all the stations you should get I live in new Middletown, just the other side of Bessemer PA.
To get Youngstown you would have need a UHF converter, otherwise no WKBN-27 or WFMJ-73(later 21)
So you would have enjoyed WTAE,WPXI, and the like.
