Hey guys,
I have a Sencore CR161 and It states it will test single gun CRT's.
So I am under the assumption that this tester will test Trinitron CRT's? If so, does anyone have a pinout so I can mock up an adapter?
Thanks
Shawn

Yep - it'll check most Trinitron CRT's - we used to have one and checked quite a few 470BEB22's and the 330 series Sony's (KV-12XX) CRT's with it. It had a socket for the Sony CRTs - all sockets were hardwired into one adapter, and the wires broke often, so we mucked up a molex arrangement to swap out sockets for various color CRTs. It was a nice service call CRT checker.

DO NOT use this to rejuvenate a Trinitron CRT - we had better luck with the B&K 470. A B&K 490 will do as well. Someone with a Beltron may have their wisdom to pass on also.

Cheers,

Thanks Brian
I know not to juice a Trinitron. It will surely die if I did. I was just curious how much life one of these 330AB22's had in it. It's dim, blurry and yellowish.

Well I found the adapter and I finally checked that 330AB22. Yup the red gun is very weak, next to nada in cutoff, blue and green are mediocre. So im going to cook it at 8v tonightr and see if I can get some spark left in the guns. Obviously tthis KV-1200U spent alot of time plugged in w/ instant on.
