Guys, help me out here.. This set jogged my memory, I almost remember this now.. I believe this is an early 80's Zenith set, and they were blowing out the 23v CRTs. Is this true??? I have a 1985 Zenith withthe same remote and the same controls using a 25v style CRT.. This is a really interesting set and I might go get it..

Oh and thats gotta be an inline CRT right?? I think I remember a brief time where Zenith produced this CRT with inline architecture..
I was young and I swear I saw one at Sears or something like that..

saw a bunch of those sets here in ohio.most were branded capehart.very good,easy to repair sets.good black matrix crts and usually just caps went bad.still see a few of them.i have one installed in my stromberg carlson cabinet form 1950.23v produced a terrific picture and seemed to hold up well long term.get that one-its a keeper!

I think Zenith was one of the last "hold out's" to produce a TV with a 23V tube. I've seen a few digital 23V Zenith's from around '82-'83 that used the 9-181/9-186 chassis. I've seen a whole lot more of the 9-160 based sets with a single knob tuner that used a 23V tube. In both cases, the tubes were the inline tri-focus type. Zenith stopped using delta gun tubes when the vertical CCII chassis was phased out for good in late '79. And, I have never seen a CCII chassis with a digital LED readout tuner.
