that is what I was thinking, but figured it would be better if

1) local VKer gets it and enjoys it
2) local VKer gets it and not really wants it could ship it, at least then it would have a chance at getting packed right.

You should consider using uship to find someone who is willing to deliver it to you. I have a name/number of private shipper guy whos drives all over the country delivering large/fragile items. He's fair on shipping costs, but its worth the money to know you're going to get it in one piece. If anyone is interested, send me an email at [email protected]. The idea of "shipping" via ups for example is not advisable as it has a 98% chance of getting completely destroyed even if the guy packs it well (speaking from experience). I have some real horror stories with my experiences seeing what UPS, fedex etc. have done to some vintage electronics of mine. When you get a TV and just turn the box 90 degrees and hear shattered glass and broken peices flopping around, it makes you pretty angry, then take it out of a box and see the die cast CRT escucheon is bashed in and cracked and EVERY SINGLE TUBE has popped out of their sockets and shattered inside the cabinet, it really makes you wonder what the hell these things are subjected to and how it can even happen. I've taken too many chances and seen too much stuff ruined. I use private shippers for EVERYTHING now if its something I think is worth the effort into saving if its far away.
This Zenith certainly is great set and worth the money to go after IMO. Thats a 16Z8C19 chassis with the orange spotlite dials.

Its on its way. Its an ex hotel set so hopefully it may have some commercial features.

Thanks for posting it Dave. This one is going to replace the port-a-color in the bedroom.

good news. Since its a hotel set, it will have an oddball chassis number. Curious what it is.
