That set has the 24H21 (19") chassis, 24H20 = 16".

I wonder if it works, and if it does work, if it would work with a modern DTV box. :scratch2: (I'm thinking of possible issues with the horizontal sync circuits; many times when a modern VCR is connected to a very old TV the picture is not stable, so the same problem may well show up with a DTV box hooked up to a six-decade-old set, not to mention possible issues with AC line isolation.) There is at least one knob missing (the volume control), which could be all but impossible to find except from a junker set.
I would bid on this TV at the drop of a hat except for two things. I live near Cleveland and don't drive, so I would have no way of bringing the TV back here; second, my apartment is much too small for a huge console TV--I am not kidding. This is a one-bedroom unit and there isn't much room for any more furniture than what I already have.
However, I hope someone else here at VK gets it, as this set looks to be in good condition from the outside (except for the missing volume knob). I don't know whether or not the set works, if it works at all. Regardless, it would need the usual recap and a good cleaning of the controls and tuner before it could be used. I would not dream of plugging this in and turning it on without at least replacing the filter caps, as they are almost certainly defective after 60+ years. Operating a television set (or anything else with a transformer power supply) with bad filters is a good way to ruin the transformer in almost no time flat, if the cap(s) should short. These capacitors are in a position to short the transformer directly to ground if they fail; if the TV's power supply is not fused (I don't think this one is), the transformer will overheat and fail (not to mention destroying the rectifier tube).
