Ho-Kay... Well, at least the CRT might still be good...but judging by the black streaks on the front, it may also have a jillion hours on it, too... Eric H 03-16-2010, 12:19 PM Cheap Masonite cabinets don't make very good Fish Tank holders! $15.00 would be pushing it. jpdylon 03-16-2010, 11:52 PM wow, and I just gave a set like that away two days ago......oh the money I missed out on ! julianburke 03-17-2010, 09:36 AM I replied to that seller in ask them a question on evilbay and he replied asking if I had a question or do I like to irritate people. Tee hee hee! I replied: No one is trying to irritate anyone as this ad has got the attention of several antique TV websites. These sets are very common and are commonly sold for $25(or less)at antique radio functions because no one wants to bring them back home with them. You really think it's worth $1500? With no disrespect intended, dream on! BTW, there is another on ebay currently nicer than yours for an opening of $25. It will get no bids unless it is close to someone who wants it. There, I told him!! radiotvnut 03-17-2010, 11:39 AM Yep, you told him. And, why do these people get so uptight when someone with real knowledge tries to clue them in? Could it be that maybe the truth hurts? I remember getting a flaming reply to a message I sent someone who had a $1500 Admiral console solid state stereo on CL. IMHO, when people pull insane crap like this, they are opening themselves wide open for whatever might come their way. radiotvnut 04-08-2010, 04:44 PM It's back! At $15K this time. And, be sure to read the ranting at the end of the listing. This guy is a first class NUTJOB IDIOT! EDIT: Good link in post below. radiotvnut 04-08-2010, 04:48 PM OK, try this link: http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=200457704746 jr_tech 04-08-2010, 04:58 PM Also, lots of discussion on this thread: http://www.videokarma.org/showthread.php?t=247497 jr JB5pro 04-08-2010, 05:07 PM I often wonder how successful such sales techniques are. Perhaps some make alot of money with such strategies? Anybody know of such ways making some rich? kx250rider 04-09-2010, 10:34 AM Sold for $15.50! I guess they got tired of getting eMails from all of us... Charles bandersen 04-09-2010, 10:55 AM That must be the old auction where the buyer didn't pick it up. It's been relisted for $15,500.00 |
