View Full Version : Can anyone identify this radio ? bandersen 12-09-2009, 09:29 PM AM radio plus clock. Sorry these are the best pics I have. bgadow 12-09-2009, 10:21 PM I'm gonna guess Westinghouse Columnaire. I think the chassis is an RCA? bandersen 12-10-2009, 12:57 AM Took me a while to find a picture of a Columnaire. I think you're spot on: http://historyproject.ucdavis.edu/marchandslides.bak/PCD3936/images/IMG0083.jpg Sandy G 12-10-2009, 06:07 AM If its for sale, or even give-a-way, I think I'd cabbage on it, pronto... leadlike 12-10-2009, 07:50 AM Looks like a pretty old chassis (v. early 30s?) if the clock is electric, it may be one of those cool "spin to start" ones. bandersen 12-10-2009, 05:37 PM If its for sale, or even give-a-way, I think I'd cabbage on it, pronto... I dipped into my reserve 'cabbage' and am heading out into the cold night to check it out. I'll put on my best poker face :D bandersen 12-10-2009, 08:57 PM Well, for better or worse it's mine :D Pics to follow. Kingfisher 12-10-2009, 10:43 PM Was that a CL buy? That thing is wierd looking. The clock face will need some serious attention. bandersen 12-10-2009, 10:54 PM Was that a CL buy? That thing is wierd looking. The clock face will need some serious attention. Yep. Weird, but very cool looking IMO. It's still out in the garage so I haven't had a chance to examine the clock in any detail. I just found out it should have had glass over it so I'm sure it's nice and dirty and maybe corroded :( I just started a new thread in this forum (Westinghouse WR-8) with a bunch of pictures. |
