when you say it has a pink screen, precisely what is meant by that?

its it nothing but pink with no other detail other than the color itself (IE a pink raster)?
does it display a picture but with a pink tint?
does it have a picture with missing greens that make the picture lookpink or magenta?

yes , it displays the picture , but with a wash of pink- like looking through pink glasses.

Sounds like either a failure in the video processing board or screen control board. Most manufacturers ask for a return, but you may be able to find a competent tech to work on it. Visit NESDA.COM and search for a shop in your area.

I fixed a bunch of plasmas that were second hand out of banks that used the stimulus money to upgrade. Most of them had similar cold problems that were bad electrolytic caps or cracked solders. Every single set had cracked solders around the power components in the power supply.

Karlo:

Did you ever get the pink issue resolved? I am curious if it was a dried capacitor?
