Read the ad and I'm sure you'll find it comical. I did send them a message in an attempt to find out what they have. Who knows, it may be a CT-100. More than likely, it's some kid who has a '93 Zenith with a bad CRT that thinks it's an antique.

:D I've seen similar postings when searching for 'antique tv' on CL.
Like you said - usually an 80s-90s set.

Ashley apparently has no idea that tube tv's are basically worthless.

I've been watching another "antique" console TV on CL. This "antique" is actually an early '80's RCA console (probably a CTC120). I think it started out at $50; but, is now FREE. They claim it must be gone by tomorrow. I'm sure it will wind up on the curb.

"It can be fix with the proper time effort and resources."

I love statements like that. Often times it means the set was in a fire or pushed down a flight of stairs or something. :)

Finally heard from them. They said to give them a day or two to get the information that I requested.

Dear Ashley,

Pour a glass of water onto the top of the cabinet. After an hour or two, does the "wood" bubble up like rust under a vinyl top?

What's a vinyl top? Well, when you bought something like a Buick...a Buick, yes......no, it was a car....

What's the use ? It's like tryin' to teach a Pig to Sing...You're wasting yr time, & it annoys the Pig...

That's about the size of it. And, I still haven't heard back from them. I was sort of looking forward to seeing a '90's Zenith or RCA, or maybe one of those el cheapo '80's Sharp's. That would give me a good laugh!
