Neither of these are exactly Halloween in theme, but two of my favorites are "The Innocents" with Deborah Kerr and "The Haunting" with Claire Bloom. What are your favorite movies that give you the creeps? :)

"Night of the Living Dead"-the original 1968 version. 1st time I saw it was in college about '78, I had to cross this huge parking lot to get back to my dorm, I could see them damthings coming at me from every direction...I was in Full "Get-It" by the time I got back to my dorm... I know, & knew it was pure bullshit, but Dah-Yum....

The Haunting has always got to me. I would not sleep with my hands outside my covers as a kid cuz of that movie. The original Halloween is pretty good too.

Sci-Fi Jane was "Barbarella," a R-rated comic-book comedy (not a very good one) rather than a Halloween movie.

Christine and the Shining as far as horror movies. The original Halloween movie is a favorite also.

For me it's a toss-up between "The Exorcist" and John Carpenter's "The Thing".
