Is this a valid variation of the 8TS30 faceplate?

I think that it looks like a piece of Masonite with a 10" hole cut in it substituted for the normal safety glass.:eek: My 2 cents (or less) worth.

Hmmm, I think you're right.

I had 2 of these 8TS30's and both of the original wood inside front mask had cracked and almost broken in 2 pieces..so this prob happened to this set and they mad a custom front mask or they wanted porthole design..these are nice sets when everything is original, but so heavy..!
