I don't think seeing a TV turned into a fishtank is desireable for the TV collectors around here...

And it was apparently a color set too...

Nope, not a particularly popular idea around here.
It probably could have been repaired fairly easily.

If your eels are swimming in your vintage tv, they better have been non-electric before entering the thing.

I wonder how those ding dongs that put aquariums in a wooden/particle board cabinet deal with the moisture issue?? Maybe they paint the inside of the cabinet with varnish/shellac/kilz etc.

At any rate it is tacky as hell - they all look like something that belongs in a '75 mobile home!!

That was a 66'ish Sears Silvertone, I should know as I have one. Thanks Craig! I'll be refinishing and recapping it soon. But the Gutted one sucks, I hate it when people do that.

I had a neighbor that stuck fishtanks in empty TV cabinets and sold them. Some of which I'm afraid I provided. The good news is they were nothing of collector interest. Mainly '80's and '90's era Zenith's and RCA's that I parted out because they were past going.
