I was out Thrifting this weekend and found this wonderful old Lane Siamese Cat TV lamp.
I've wanted one for a long time but this is the first one I've found in good shape at a price I'd pay.
The only flaw is one missing eye, the store said it disappeared while on display and they couldn't find it, no biggie, I figured I'd turn one up somewhere, somewhere turned out to be eBay, someone is selling replacement eyes in three different colors! I ordered a pair.
Now the only problem will be finding a way to secure this so my real Kitties don't knock it over.

Gosh, you got my memory going on that find. My neighbors when I was a kid had some of those, very cool find.

Nice find. Do the cat's glow when you turn it on?
Replacement cat eyes on eBay - who da thunk it.

No, that would be really cool if they did but it just has a lamp in the back that throws light on the wall.

Speaking of cats & thrifts, while you're seeking that classic black panther TV lamp (we have two), also keep your eyes peeled for a chalkware cat figurine.

The intrinsic value of the cat figurine is zero, but I'd like one to set in the base of my Zenith 12-A-58 "Baby Strat," like everyone else who owns one.

There are certainly some interesting TV lamps out there... I recently was asked to evaluate & sell a TV lamp very similar (if not identical) to this one, and a cat-shaped indoor antenna too. I haven't had a chance to get on it yet.
Anyone have the nude Betty Boop TV lamp?

That's kind of cool, I'm thinking I might look around for one of those myself. I picked up some free paintings (2 leopards and a lion) a while ago and hung them over my TVs in the living room. And then little while later I picked up this lion statue at a thrift store and put it next to those TVs. So seeing that I already have a cat theme going, this might be just what I need.

Almost a mirror image of your lamp showed up on the bay (http://cgi.ebay.com/VINTAGE-KRON-SIAMESE-CAT-TV-LAMP-LIGHT-2-CATS-WORKS-OK_W0QQitemZ230377831125QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_Defa ultDomain_0?hash=item35a396bad5&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14). Looks like all the eyes are missing from this one.
