Hi,
There's a very modern Sony flat screen TV at the local dump. Apparently it fell off its stand and is an insurance write off. The glass screen is very badly damaged with a hard impact mark in the middle and radial cracking all over (looks more like it's been hit with something hard than fell on something soft). Is the glass screen on these TVs just a shield, or is there circuitry directly behind it that's likely ruined?
It's a big screen (between 4 and 5 ft diagonal; didn't want to show too much interest by measuring it) and has all manner of logos on it including HD.
Retrieving it would involve a night raid on the place; DIY salvage is strictly against the law these days but skip diving is an honorable tradition in Kirriemuir.......
