If I had to pick one, it would be Top Gear. Also, Masterpiece Theatre from the U.K. I can not think of a fairly current U.S. series I am hooked on, the last being M.A.S.H.

Magnum PI, Miami Vice, CHIP's , A-Team (Can you tell I was addicted to TV :D) Cheers , Seinfeld, House , 24....... Those were the main ones.....

When I was a kid it was Wild, Wild, West with james conrad, later it was mash, and, I am not sure if this counts, but what about Saturday Night Live.

Now: Dexter and the X-Files again (bought the whole thing on DVD).

These days any Mythbusters or Dirty Jobs marathon i will watch! Same goes for Survivorman, Star Trek TNG, and many of the made for the BBC or science channel shows.

As a kid in the 50s, Mickey Mouse Club and the Disney shows; Garfield Goose and Elmer Elephant (local Chicago shows), the Lone Ranger, the Cisco Kid,
and somewhat out of order: Alfred Hitchcock; the original Mission Impossible, Twilight Zone, Outer limits, Science Fiction Theater, the Muppet show, and some regular watchers, but not so addictied: Bonanza (but not so often because we didn't have color), Gunsmoke, Dean Martin, 77 Sunset Strip, Mr. Lucky, I Dream of Jeanie, Dick Van Dyke, Mary Tyler Moore, the Ed Sullivan Show, Perry Mason, a number of others my dad was addicted to though I was not, e.g Route 66, Knight Rider. By the way, I bought a set of Dean Martin Variety Show DVDs (not the roasts), and they are still super. His casual way of paying attention to his guests and not upstaging for the camera still comes across as "real people." Later (70s and 80s and onward), I don't know if I was really addicted to any shows, but I do remember Angie Dickinson in Police Woman (rrrrowr).

I get some great laughs out of 2 1/2 Men. The characters in the show have some great chemistry, and lots of hot babes.:naughty:

Kung-fu,Sanford and Son,Chico and the man,Welcome back Kotter,just about any of the older series were and are hard to beat

1. Star Trek 1.0 I'm old enough to have seen it in real time, the first time.

2. Hill Street Blues - rang true to me, first program that humanized cops to me.

3. Night Gallery - Thank god for DVDs.

4. Star Trek Deep Space Nine - The emmissary, the prophets, the Dominion War!!!! Founders, Vulcans and Klingons oh my!

5. The Wire - To true for words.

6. Six Feet Under - Never look at death the same way again.

7. The Outer Limits - Thank god for DVD.

If you can imagine a hybrid of Tim Allen, Benny Hill, Kenny Everett, Bruce Campbell, and a wee bit of the Three Stooges then you've just about got the gist of what Red Green is all about. It's no longer on around here.:tears:

Anyone remember Medic,one if not the first doctor type shows from the 50's.Richard Boone was the star.Theme music was Blue Star.Another one was Duffy's Tavern which I believe was from England but don't hold me to that,it could be American.These,if I recall were on around the time of It's Howdy Doody time.We,up here in Canada got our first TV broadcasts in the early 50's and these shows were on no more than a couple of yrs later.......................
