Apparently they're going to make a sequel to "The Wicker Man", not the US version but the original. Not sure how this can work seeing as how they burned the 'hero' alive at the end of the film but it got me thinking about unlikely sequels, or different versions of the original. How about "Titanic, the alternate ending". Pure fantasy; ship hits iceberg but though badly damaged manages to make it to New York. How would history have been changed if all those rich, famous and above all influential people had survived? Would the Great Depression have happened and if not, with no industrial collapse followed by Roosevelt's 'New Deal' would the future have been much different?

"RFK", sequel to 'JFK', in which the militarindustrial complex succesfully frames Sirhan of the assassination.

"Ford", sequel to "Nixon".

"Hamlet 2" or was that done?

in the original Dracula, Van Helsing and his cohorts destroy the title entity. Suppose they failed and Count Vlad established himself in Brit society? answer is in the novel 'Anno Dracula'...an outstanding work if you're literate enough to understand it (references to Sherlock Holmes, Fu Manchu and others of the time).

Hamlet 2, the Directors Cut. The film 'Van Helsing' had a good mix of charactures and a great black and white opening sequence. The man who played Dracula came across with just the right mix of 'camp' and menace, plus the ending left room for a sequel............

While I was watching "Van Helsing".....probably for the eighth time.
My wife looked at me, and said:
"Why do you watch these things!?"
