Don't let it get shitcanned. I hate it when people would rather trash a set than give it away.

Me too, you'd think there are plenty who would take it for free. Why dump it or recycle it? Sometimes, I think they do that as a threat knowing people like us are out there going "save it!" and will bid. I would if I were closer :)

It has a brightner on the tube, still it's in nice shape and a tube shoudn't be impossible to fine.
The wrong end of the country for me though.

I live a few hundred miles south, but frankly I don't have any room. I still have a 1958 Space Command I can't give away so I can bring in a color "roundie" that I aquired.

Bring that '58 SC set to the ETF convention next year, I'll take it off your hands:)

That is an attractive design...there was a day I would go for it, but there is no room at the inn...and it would take an amazing set indeed to get me to brave the DC beltway!

Looks like someone bid on it. Hope it ends up in good hands.

I am the one who "could not go and get the set". At this time--I CANNOT do a 16+ hour drive from here.

I am trying to get a ride for the set. BUT-=-if ANYONE here wants it--feel free. I just do NOT want it crushed and "recycled". I already paid for it, some time ago. hopefully--the bidder is "one of us". I like the set as it has a 1V2 FOCUS RECTIFIER --and a HV FOCUS tube--in a BW set. NOT very common at ALL.

Cool! I've never seen a B-W set with a seperate focus tube IIRC...it IS a nice looking set I suppose....certainly worth saving.
