While browsing at the dump, I came across two huge copper chassis (all cut up and parted out, sadly), two tuner/control pannels with the advent name, and a bunch of metal scraps and body pannels in a rather graphic heap beside a dumpster. I'm really out of space over here, so I decided it wouldnt be worth taking it home, knowing I could neither repair or sell them. However, the next day (today), six HUGE Advent crt's appeared by the pile of Advent innards. They're all Intact and have big metal support brackets, ect. still attached. I couldnt let these things get trashed, so I loaded them in the back of the wagon. I have absolutely no use for them, other than the eye-candy aspect :p:.

What I'm getting at here is, does anyone know about early Advent projectors? These were the oldest projectors I've ever seen, and if you can believe it, they even used point to point wiring, and hid the flyback along this the cascade in a cage!! If anyone thinks I should go back and pick up the chassis, ect. I will.

I'll take some pics of the CRTs sometime tomorrow after school.

Eye candy is probably all they're good for. The large old projectors didn't age very well. The CRTs wore out (burn marks and general aging issues) so that's probably why they ended up where they did. Unless the sets could do better than NTSC resolution, they're not worth much.
