I have this 8TS30 RCA and it has an electrostatic ion trap!

I could swear the last TS30 I owned had a magnet, there is one on ebay now too and it has a magnet.

I thought they were pretty much done with the electromagnet traps by 1947?

Maybe a very early TS30?
