Still cool though! http://www.audiokarma.org/forums/showthread.php?t=178188&highlight=philips+protelgram zenith2134 02-19-2009, 11:43 PM Neat! I often wonder how many of the early RCA projection sets made it overseas back then? :scratch2: M3-SRT8 02-20-2009, 06:18 AM Think the Phillips Unit is restorable? I mean, if the Projector Lamp/Bulb is burned out, where oh where could you find a replacement? LJB:smoke: John Folsom 02-20-2009, 12:02 PM These PhillipsNorelco Duo-Vue projection units are straightforward to restore. It uses a 3NP4 (MW6-2) 3" projection CRT, which are not too hard to find. The two front surface mirrors in the "protelgram" projection unit will likely need to be re-silvered. There are several companies around the country who can do this job. The unit was designed to be hooked up to the customers existing B&W TV, and allowed a 4'X3' picture to be projected onto an external screen. |
