I'm relying on memory here so bear with me. :)
I have been driving myself crazy in trying to remember the title of this film I saw back in the 1980's. It was about a college student who likes to fly, he's about 19 or 20, where he befriends an older woman, about 28 to maybe early 30's who is a computer wiz and can assign musical notes to any tones she hears. The stumble across some terrorists who want to crash the Federal Reserve's and U.S. banking systems computer network so the U.S. will go into default. They try to stop them and in so doing attract the attention of the FBI who thinks they could be behind it. After some convincing, they help the FBI and the woman taps into the computer network and she uses a speaker from the FBI man's walkie talkie to listen to the computer data beeps and she figures things out with her musical ability. I also remember them flying to DC with information on how to stop the terrorists from causing the U.S. to go into default. There are also scenes of the Federal Reserve watching a computer graph where if it got below a certain level, we would default.
The movie was made around 1984 or 1985, does anyone remember the title? It is probably a more obscure movie, I remember seeing it on HBO in the 1980's. I have been driving myself nuts in looking it up and trying to get a title.
