Although This is not the exact one, this was the model that started it all for me. My mother brought this home for me from a yard sale at the age of 10. It was not working and it looked so cool that I just had to fix it.

My father taught me electronics basics, the rest I learned through reading and self taught experience. Unfortunately it got resold at a family yard sale when I was forced to move the clutter outa my room.

Since then I had been looking for one of these. Harry Poster saw my ad in the classifieds here and had this set. It is in like new condition. Some new caps and tubes, alot of resoldering the circuit board and its alive and well. Thanks Harry!

If anyone has another one of these in the 16" all white version, I would like to find one of those as well. The black and white version I think has the coolest look though.

Nice set Jordan! The thing i like about b/w tv's from this era is that the picture quality had gotten alot better. They are easier on your eyes making them more watchable and therefor get played more frequently. I have a Philco that looks almost like your Admiral. Although these are newer than what most look for, they still have a good place in our collections. I have a couple of my childhood and family sets and part of the fun of our hobby is going down memory lane. Thanks for sharing.
