Hi everyone,

I chose to keep the Philco TV and part with the Dumont.

Its a colony console RA-105, recapped, but needs the function switch reinstalled again. Flyback is fine as I got HV before the recap. CRT is not gassy and possibly could be brought to full life with a Beltron restorer.

Its in Maine, and its life is threatened. My parents don't have the time to deal with it and it might be smashed and brought to the dump. I have no say over what my parents do as they are cleaning up quickly for the sale of the house.

Please help save this relatively rare TV. Its in Gardiner, Maine.

Contact me soon!

Having een involved with many real estate purchases (on both ends) I've never seen a sale go bad because somebody left an old tv, or some other 'non-trash' item behind. In fact, I've left small items (lawn tools, chairs, lamps, etc that otherwise would have hit the curb) behind for the next owners to either use, sell or pitch. This doesn't mean I'd leave a whole basement full of junk, but some people seem to have a rather mad obsession with not leaving so much as a refrigerator magnet behind. If it came down to smashing an old tv for the dump, simply because of the sheer hassle, I'd just leave it in a corner of the basement and let the new owners deal with it... They'd probably think it was an ebay fortune.
