This is a 1979 set, it is probably among the first inline 19" models Zenith made, using the System 3 chassis. The picture on the one I have is very bright and clear, it does seem do devlop power supply problems though.

at least if it's a System 3 you should just be able to change the module (if you can still find one), unlike the soldering you would have to do in a Chromacolor 2 chassis. I went to a System 3 seminar in 1980 and my Uncle and I even had our picture in the midwest elctronics newsletter at that convention. Anyway you guys probably already know this, but I remember the Zenith rep going on about the series, and why it was named "System 3" It's because everything on the set is on 3 modules. They stressed how easy it would be for service, unlike the connections and such that are on the Chromacolor 2. Also they had the new EFL picture tube, and it had 3 focus guns intead of 1 (which all tubes in that day had) Don't know if any sets use that system in their picture tubes now or not. The Zenith reps were pretty proud of the System 3 when it came out.
