I recently purchased a suitcase type tele-tone 7" porthole TV. It had no model # label and the back was missing . My sams set #95 shows a Model TV208TR and TV220. My set never had a front cover and the tube line up is different. The 6SL7 is interchanged with the 12SN7on the layout. Also my set uses a 6x5 as a tripler like some of there horizontal 7" sets. I purchased a Sams set #90 which shows no front cover and covers a model TV208. Unfortunately this model uses a ballast tube and a 6AL5 horiz. sync disc but no 6x5.
My question is what model do i have and is there a schematic to cover it?
Thank you, konrad

In comparing circuitry of various Sams schematics it appears that my TV-208 has the circuitry of a Tele-tone TV149. The early tech writing departments were not very good at passing information on to Sams nor was there much effort to change model numbers. Maybe the service manuals from tele-tone showed all the variations but I have never seen one. I have one question to the form members. Does anyone have a picture of the back cover of a TV-208 porthole since mine is missing. Don't know if it was metal or wood. Being a hot chassis design I need to cover the back. Thanks
