Drat...found out! I was going to sneak this by this bunch and have my brother pick it up and deliver to PA. Same as grandma's set that her kids gave her that year for Christmas. My first view of color at the ripe old age of 8 years old. 50 years later I am still fascinated.

I have to check the cousins to see if anyone has pix of it.

Parents would not let us sit near the set for fear of our feet glowing in the dark from x-rays. Grandma's collie dog would sit in front of it knowing we were all looking at it and wanted attention. Usually "scram".

That set went to my dad who put some kind of "antique" blonde paint on it and it just chugged along until the end in the late 70's. I still have the speakers from the set in a cabinet for connection to anything.

This one looks like the simulated mahogany finish. I forget what grandma had.

Dave,

Sorry I let the CTC-7 out of the bag. Hopefully, our fellow AK members will stand aside and give you a clear field on this one.

I went to see the set today.
CRT is a RCA Colorama 21CYP22A, date code 6643, installed on 4/30/67.

Initial readings were all in the red, so I boosted filament voltage 10% for a few seconds and saw an increase. Went back to normal voltage and after 15 minutes blue and green guns emission are in green region and red is on edge of green region. Blue gun shows a little G1 leakage, within spec.

The set is upstairs in an old building (1880) on Cherry Street in the old downtown area of Rochelle IL. This upstairs looks like it was a boarding house or?? Downstairs was probably a saloon, as I was told they used to call this section "liquid avenue" for the number of saloons in one block. Now it is a mission.

They said one of the bidders is from Germany.

If you do get it, make sure someone removes the back and takes out the few loose spare tubes (in boxes) that are laying loose inside.

the pig is pink, the frog is green, the ant is red,the water and sky is blue, thank you eric H for the service data on this early CTC-7 color set,I have about 4 caps left in the demod section, the CRT came to life after about 2 weeks on 6.5volts,now its test as new,and NO rejuv has been done on the 21cyp22A..now i have to try and get the whole set upstairs..

Nice work! Great picture! I am happy for you. Nice Avatar too!!

the avatar is from one of my ct-100's actual pic,i have had 2 of them,i wish i never stripped one of them down for parts..
but the ctc-7 above is the latest,i have not had my hands in a 21" round set in a coupla years,i forgot how many caps there are and how "packed" in they are esp in the chroma demod section..
I have a student worker from campus that came over and looked at the ctc-7 playing,he is from costa rica and is a student here and he's only like 20 yrs old and he thinks it is the weirdest looking thing he has ever seen,i guess he has never seen a tube TV and NEVER a round color tube set..I laughed..
