Hi All- Thanks to those of you who have responded to me. I have a 1970 RCA console tv, model GP-796, chassis ctc-44-a. I finally found an older gentleman who worked on this vintage era set and he graciously came over and looked at - and he confirmed the convergence board is on the way out - he didn't take anything apart (unsoldering, etc.) stuff on board because he was afraid it would exaserbate the problem. Bottom coil for right hand red/green convergence does not work, and he is suspecting a bad diode. He ruled out other issues based on some other tests he did. :worried::scratch2:

Does anyone have any diodes which would work on this board? He said he had no source for parts. He said rest of set is in remarkable condition for it's age. If anyone can help I'd be most appreciative.
