As the summer approaches, so does the new blockbuster releases. seems pretty blah. Another Incredible Hulk flick (yawn), Indiana Jones (BORING), The Happening (M. Night Shyamalan writer :boring:) and the piece de resistance: Sex and the City the movie, OMG is this for real.

All week on the radio and tube its been Sex and the city this, Sex and the city that.......Sex and the city number 1 movie. Has everyone gone loco? Has Hollywood/Government put something in the water to alter our better judgement?

A few years back i tried to force myself to sit through one of those episodes and got half way through and felt slightly suicidal and nearly broke my remote by pushing the channel up arrow so hard. Why are people spending up to 50 bucks (after popcorn and gas plus wear and tear on their vehicles) to go and watch 4 hags yammer on about orgasms and vaginal dryness? Why Why WHY???????

and i gotta tell the ring leader Sara Jessica Parker, she`s got a face like the Anti-Christ!! Didn`t she play the witch on the show H and R`s Puff and Stuff, didn`t she play the possessed chick in The Evil Dead? She is creepy as creepy gets.

Please stop the madness. We the people/ consumers have the power to put an end to all this. Movies like this should have never been made, they should remain either on television(thats another issue) or as bad ideas in some crack head writers thoughts. We as people deserve better. I`m sorry if i offended anyone, but i`m sure there are a few that feel the same way.

I can't believe all the hype about that movie!

You'd think they had finally made a movie out of Atlas Shrugged.

I predict it will open big and die quickly!

For any men going to see it, no one with a spine will be allowed in and please check your testicles at the door. :sigh:

Well I liked the show, some of the humor is real funny. It sure beats most of the sitcoms on TV today, though that may not be saying much...

Oh and Cynthia Nixon! :thmbsp:

My lady wanted to see Kung-Fu Panda and not Sex in the City. Which is why I'm with her. Though I have to say, I've seen the show and it was mildly entertaining. Certainly more entertaining than yet another sit-com about a hard-working family who's dad refuses to grow up and who's wife hates his parents, but in a loving way, with three wacky kids and a cute little nephew that shows up when the ratings start to lag after a few years.

I heard a funny on the radio the other day about this flick.

Of the tickets bought for this movie:

80% were purchased by women

10% were purchased by Gay men

10% were purchased by Boyfriends and husbands that had done something VERY bad within the last week or two and couldn't figure out any other way to make up for it!

A laughed so hard I almost dropped my cell phone!

Man, I'm with you on this one...she looks like a freakin horse! I do not find her attactive at all. There is so much hype about this movie, it is ridiculous. I guess it's a sad commentary as to what the public is into this day in age. Another example of why Hollywood is in the toilet and no quality movies are made any more.

More like there are no one of Orson Welles' calibre, making movies like, "Citizen Kane", "The Magnificent Ambersons", or "The Third Man"...

Oh, there are great movies being made these days. Just in other countries.

Yes there are some good French films being made, but I would not use the word "great". Just as there are "good" films being made in Hollywood. Remember Hollyweird is in the "entertainment" industry. Films like "Citizen Kane", or "To Kill a Mockingbird" do not make for great "entertainment". They are thought provoking, but not entertaining in today's definition of the word.
