That little set is not 1950s vintage, as the heading on its Craigslist listing states. I'd say it was probably made in the '70s. Fully transistorized portable televisions did not appear on the market until the early sixties, when Sony introduced its 5" "Micro" TV. I would guess the seller is trying to make the set in the listing look rare, so he/she can get as much money as possible from the sale. This sort of thing happens now and then on eBay as well.

Well, if you look at any plastic table radio from the mid to late fifties, you
will have roughly the same proportion of visible plastic as in that TV.

Another giveaway is the company address on the label with a ZIP code,
making this definitely later than 1963, IIRC.

That was in '58 correct? I think this thing is from about '75. People should research things more before they sell them, there's no excuse, everything is on the internet these days. Also, I almost forgot to mention, this is in the wrong forum. Maybe a mod should move it. That "thing" is definitely not early color!:no:LOL!:D
