I dropped by the local thrift today, and $30 later, walked away with:

Breakfast At Tiffany's
To Kill a Mockingbird
Lawrence of Arabia
Hook
Glenn Miller & His Orchestra ~ America's Musical Hero
Far Away Home (Jeff Daniels)
The Field (Richard Harris, Tom Berenger)
Breaker Morant
Sunday in the Park w/ George (Mandy Patinkin, Bernadette Peters)
Newsies (Robert Duvall, Ann Margret)
Cabaret (Liza Minnelli)
Manhattan (Woody Allen, Dianne Keaton, Meryl Streep)
Cinema Paradiso
A Christmas Carol (George C. Scott)
Local Hero
My Life as a Dog
Circle of Friends
Nicolas Roeg's Walkabout (Criterion Collection)
Shadowlands (Anthony Hopkins, Debra Winger)
A River Runs Thru It
Batman Returns

And for the kids:
Beethoven
A Kid in King Arthur's Court
Angels in the Outfield
Free Willy 1 & 2
Home Alone
Honey I Shrunk the Kids
Addams Family
Alladdin
Ducktales

I also recently picked up a nice Pioneer CLD-502 (plays both sides) player for $15. I now have 3 Pioneers, and one Magnavox, in the house.

My LD collection is starting to get like my record collection - a lot of duplicates. I need to make a master list to keep with me when shopping.

The real "star" of that find is the Criterion Walkabout disc. Man, what a film. It will be one of Criterion's first blu-ray releases later this year. The CLD-502 is a pretty decent player...especially with some of the new HD TVs that feature a "weak signal" setting. Just use composite out and then let the TV do the combing. Anyway, a wonderful find!

Nice find, Jeff. The darn GW here charges $7 each so, of course, they don't sell. By the time they're heavily discounted they have been handled so much they are trashed.

We've had more luck at garage sales plus the huge box the guy at the CD Warehouse gave me.
