What exactly are you looking to do? --Dave I need to adjust the picture of the Tele-Bar. After trying to get it with a moving picture I can really see the advantage of using a test pattern. Phil Nelson 03-16-2008, 01:18 PM You can download files to make a test pattern DVD from techpreservation: http://techpreservation.dyndns.org/dvddl/testdisc.htm Regards, Phil Nelson Phil's Old Radios http://antiqueradio.org/index.html Eric H 03-16-2008, 03:09 PM Thank you Phil, that's the same file I have, couldn't remember where it came from. The set is a Dumont Doghouse I just finished recapping. Cool set!! Don't you love this hobby? Dan Starnes 07-03-2008, 07:21 PM I was finally able to utilize the site Phil provided and make a DVD. My Admiral model C2256 N had slight compression at the top of screen. Swapping a couple tubes a couple years ago solved that. But there has since been a slight bend at the top of the screen still. I thought a test pattern would be nice to have and I would use the Sams in order to set the horizontal via adjustment shafts on back of the set. With some help from my wife on the screen side I was able to eliminate nearly all of it. Now it is not noticeable to me while viewing tv shows, never was noticeable by anyone else, (they dont understand anyways). If there is a flaw in something in video, I find myself staring at that more than the presentation itself. I can ignore rattles in cars, people talking, and noise in general. But have never found a way to ignore video faults. At 50 years young, maybe it is too late.
