I have a very large pile of old TV knobs. I would say no less than 2000 knobs. I can only recognize a few types and most of them I don't have any idea what sets they go to. I would say they are mostly from pre 1960 to late 1940's. If I could identify them, maybe I could help some folks here when they are looking for a replacement knob.

Does anyone have a comprehensive knob catalog with photos that show what model sets the knob picture goes to?

I would be happy to compensate someone for a zerox copy of such a catalog.

Thanks,
Bob G.

I bought a PDF file of a knob catalog 2-3 years ago on ebay. I cann't remember if I down-loaded it from the seller or if he sent me a cdrom. I think it is on the harddrive on my old computer buried in one of my bedrooms turned storage room. If I find it I'll send you a copy.

I also found a link to an old General Cement catalog circa 1967, 320 pages. Says it has tv replacement knobs in it (among lots of other stuff)

Is anyone familiar with what GC offered back then? Would this be a good resource for identifying knobs? Was their knob section very comprehensive? IE did it cover a wide range of manufacturers and years, or were there better knobs suppliers?

Thanks,
Bob

I thought Knobs catalog might have referred to a mailing by Fredereicks of Hollywood, I guess I'm in the wrong thread.

I looked today on the hard drive of my old PC and also for the cdrom of the catalog. I haven't found it yet but I'll keep looking.

Bob,

I found the knob CDROM. The catalog is newer then I remember 1962 but it is a knob replacement catalog so the knobs are older. Email me your address and I will mail you a copy of the CDROM.
