Hi to all, I normally hang out in the Audio sections here at AK but have a chassis that I _think_ may be from an early TV. I've done some surfing around here and elsewhere and _think_ this may be a Halicrafters TV chassis that _may_ have some out of one of their early consoles. Here's my logic so far:

- Some Hallicrafters console TVs included a record player and this chassis has provisions for one.
- The string of 6SH7s in what looks like the IF strip that were used in some early Hallicrafters TVs
- One picture has a label indicating: Amplifier NO. 7788

Other things I know at this point:

- Its got one 6L6 sitting by the metal rectifier tube.

So, can anyone shed further light on this? I do not have the chassis in my possession and will not until Christmas.

I do appreciate your help very much.

Cheers,

David

Hello that is the amplifier/IF/power supply from a E.H.Scott model 800b radio. Hope this helps Logan

I agree that it's a scott, but, not the amp from an 800b. I once had one. The amp is long, and skinny... But, it does look like a radio.
Further, it is interesting that the corner looks vaguely like a hallicrafters early 504 tv chassis.

It does look like the amp from an 800B. Check out Phil's website (http://www.antiqueradio.org/scot03.htm) on the restoration of one.

My thanks to you both! It is, indeed, the amp section from an EH Scott 800 console.

Cheers,

David
