Anyone ever run into any Admiral 12X12 sets ?
I want to add one to my collection , one of these days .
What's the average price the last one sold for , that way I have a idea what they are selling for ?
I would be looking for one that would need a recap ect.
Also how much do they weigh ?

I think it was made in 1950 .

I found a model 20X12, table top, in an antique junk store for $40.00 last year, very good condition, still needs recapped, found a spare 10BP4 for it around $90.00. Just need time to work on this set.

Good to hear there is one of these around , I almost thought I had the wrong model number .
On a scale of 1 to 10 how rare are these TV's?

There is an Admiral 20X12 on e-bay now, maybe they are rare, never saw one one e-bay before ?? I say the weight is close to 40 pounds. The bakelite cabinet is one of the biggest pieces made I've been told. Thick and heavy ! I hope to start recapping mine next year when I finish other projects, I have an extra 10PB4 for it also.
Good luck.

Thats a real handsome set I think. It reminds me of the one shown in the living room of the Cunninghams on the early episodes of Happy Days. I remember thinking the old round tube sets looked cool even when that show was popular in the 70's....

I remember that set on Happy Days , it does look like the same model .
I see there is 1 bid on it .
Any AK members ?:scratch2:
Those 12X12s are hard to find any info on .
I think there was also a floor model that used the same chassis .
I can imagine what it would cost to ship it to Canada .:thumbsdn:

I'm more a fan of two of their albums, "In Search Of The Lost Chord" and "On The Threshold Of A Dream" :music::music:

I've seen the Moody Blues in concert, 3 times. Everyone should experience this.
Anyhow I have a few extra parts for the Admiral TV - power xformer, flyback xformer, horiz. out xformer, vert out xformer, def yoke, tuner. Anyone need anything?
