Got this little Panasonic set that needs some loving :)

I do actually have a use for it, but repair on solid state is sadly beyond me. It has the service manual. Anyone willing to open it up and take a look at it for me, or would anyone like it for their collection? I'd just hate to see it go to the trash :(

if you want to ship it here i will see what it needs.
what are the symtoms?
we may be able to talk you through it if you can do the basics.

Tried to take a screen shot of the set, basically vertically compressed at center with foldover IIRC. Sound is fine. It's not like the set is valuable in the least, but it's so darn clean that it seems a waste to pitch it, especially since I have the factory service manual that came with it.

It sounds like bad electrolytics in the vertical circuits.

Maybe I'll give it a shot over the weekend.....worst I can do is blow it up :D

Thankfully my soldering skills have improved vastly in the last few years, Rob can attest to my early work
