Hi,

I can use either a dipped mica cap or a "Polystyrene Film" cap. This is going into the horizontal oscillator circuit of a 21 inch RCA TV. The cap size is .00068 MFD.

Which type of cap will be more stable and suitable for the TV?

Thanks,
Matt Davala

I'm pretty sure the dipped mica is the better choice...less drift?

Wouldn't the mica be closer to original?

Also, a web search indicates that while polystyrene is super-high quality, it can't withstand temps over 85 deg C, so I would be concerned about soldering temperature and putting it near tubes.
