I have a cardboard stand-up featuring Donald Duck with Huey, Dewie and Louie, advertising the New Vista Mark 10 Color Television. I've had this for years and often wondered which chassis was the Mark 10? I have seen, I think it was, a Mark 8 in an old Life magazine, but I couldn't even tell you which model it was. (I also have an early RCA Mark Series 8 track player, for what its worth!)

No picture of the set on the advertisement. I do plan on buying a digial camera soon so maybe I'll get it posted anyway.

Good job, look forward to seeing futher digital shots. The RCA "Mark Series" color sets were first introduced in late 1957 as the CTC-7 models, a new chassis design. This was the follow up to the CTC-5 models. The Mark 10 series (CTC-10 chassis) as advertised in your great RCA/Disney dealer promotion ad was around 1961. This was when Disney's "Wonderful World of Color" program moved from ABC (Then called "Disneyland")to NBC and was then telecast in color. RCA was a primary sponsor and Disney's large library of color cartoons & features was perfect to sell color tv's. Although it worked both ways as Disney used the hour to promote its theme park and new feature releases in brilliant "Living Color." :cool:

Thanks for clearing that up for me, Steve. I thought about CTC-10 but also 10th year of color, etc. I'll have to display it with my CTC-11 until I find a 10!

Your Disney ad will be right at home on that CTC-11. The CTC-10 and 11 were very similar in design. The 10 still used the 21CYP22 pix. tube. The 11's used the new all sulphide tube which produced a brighter red phosphor to match the blue & green. These could have been either the 21FBp22 with conventional faceplate or the 21FJp22 with the bonded safety glass. Depended on the model and or build date. Maybe more then you neeeded to know, but what the heck. :rolleyes:
