Just a quick question... would the blue lateral magnet and purity rings from my ctc-68 work well on my ctc-31?? The plastic on the rings for the 31 is giving up the ghost, and it's hard to keep it secure, so I figured I'd just use the one from the 68 until I can find a replacement.
Also, on a related note, I'd love to find a deflection coil housing for the 31 as well, because it's plastic is nearly the same condition.

I'm not familiar with the -68, but I think those used by RCA (and others) were fairly universal. I had a -31 with a bad one and used a one-size fits all from Oneida or somebody like that-had a long list on the back of models it fit.

There were several different designs of purity/blue lateral magnets but I have not had any trouble interchanging them between any rectangular delta gun set.
The convergence/deflection yoke housings are physically very similar between the CTC-68 and 31, however I think the impedence of the coils would be different enough between the tube type and solid state sets to make them not electrically interchangeble.

I agree with Chad... As long as the CTC-68 has a delta gun tube, it will interchange. Not sure if a CTC-68 was inline yet? (if the socket is the same as the 31, it's not inline and is interchangeable.)
And adding to that, the purity rings and blue magnet of any delta gun tube (except roundies) is interchangeable... Even Japanese sets.

Thanks guys for your info on this. They are both deltas so I'll go ahead and swap them. As for the deflection coil housing, i wasn't referring to the yoke itself, but to the plastic shroud that it sits inside. (some models have the convergence board fastened to the top of this, others have it fastened to the back of this.)
