Purchased the entire series on DVD and finally started to watch them,in order from season 1.What a joy to see these wonderful shows again.Brings back a lot of good memories. So far, every disc has been exemplary in quality.Peter Falk is just a gem in this role.
On some of the episodes that were filmed outdoors in daylight, you can actually see the the severe levels of smog that was prevelent in those days.Anyone living in L.A. can attest to that.I may be wrong, but it doesn't appear to be anywhere near that bad these days.Smog control must have worked.

"Yes, yes. You're very smaat. Shaddup."
Check out "Faraway So Close" if you haven't seen it yet. It's a great German movie with a long cameo of Falk playing himself. :tresbon:

Great stuff! Love it. A DVD set sounds awesome.
I'd like to also pick up one day a DVD set of the Rockford Files.
Cheers to the ol' smoggy L.A. days!

Great show! My wife absolutely loves it, but it's quite deserving.

I liked all the NBC Mystery Movies. The used to rotating feature model that started wuth The Name of the Game. Also a great series. Columbo came out of the gate fastest but others were really good too, like McCloud, Tenefly, Banacek and McMillan and Wife. Hec Ramsey was my fav. though.

What has happened to regular TV. I never watch it anymore. They never show any good 60's, 70's shows, and I have Direct TV. TV Land is awful. Columbo was an exceptional show. And so was the Rockford Files. Todays shows are either stupid, and silly, or lifeless. I think we will become a race of programed Cyborgs.
