FS: WR-99A Crystal Calibrated Marker Generator

Anyone need one of these? It was working when I checked it a couple years ago. Probably wouldn't be a bad idea to recap it. $15 plus shipping. It's heavy, so shipping will proably be nuts.

I recapped one of those about a month ago. The power trans does add some weight. The RF range mech that swaps out the back ground dial scales is a really neat feature on these, but hides the true frequency range of the instrument from the casual glance.

They are useful as an FM radio alignment tool, and as a RF generator over the relatively wide bandwidth they cover, however you'll need a sweep generator to go with it if you wish to do TV alignments with it.

Absolutely, which is why they call it a "marker generator".
It's intended purpose is to mark specific frequencies locations within a swept RF or IF bandwidth.
