Panasonic TR-001 only $10 on Chicago Craigslist

A chance to pick up a classic portable TV on the cheap.

https://chicago.craigslist.org/chc/e...373710540.html

"Vintage (1960s or 70s? not really sure) portable television. Unsure if it works or not, I don't have a way to power it up safely. Ten dollars and it's yours. Restore and enjoy, or use for an art project, etc."

It's in my neck of the woods. Not sure if want, but for $10, I might anyway.

I got one of these with the power brick, but no magnifier....Not worth the trip just for the magnifier.

I think you should, anyway!
It has be worth that, plus it doesn't take up that much space.

I know that I'm W3IRD & all, but I think these widdle fellers are just Tres Kewl!!I never reall intended for this, but, I started buying these l'il guys, their latter day cousins, & managed to snag one of the Color version-1st thing I knew, I had me a pretty respectable collection of 'em.. I doubt if I have much money in the whole Kit 'n' Kaboodle... A BUNCH of 'em "Became Available"when NTSC bit the Big 'Un, but I doubt if any of mine ever got run very much. Panasonic made about 15 gazillion different versions, there are a few made in the early 80s that have notoriously bad Caps. Always try to get the Freak who you bought yours from to dig deep in his Pot drawer & get the wall wart, magnifying lens, et al . Best thing is about ALL of the ones I've run acrost DO work in some fashion, a lot of 'em have an AM/FM radio built in with 'em.And you can put yr WHOLE collection in a Boot box...
