Fairly early rectangular color RCA - Royal Oak, MI

Not affiliated. I'm not sure what chassis it uses, but I can't imagine it being too much younger than the CTC-16 era...

Could also be a 24, the el cheapo version of the 25. I have three 25's, $150 is way too much for this. Especially if it has the horrible CTC-24 chassis.

I guess depends where you live. Up here in Canada sets like that come up very rarely, if you saw one it may be years before seeing another. I was delighted to get a CTC38, a chassis I know a lot of people don't like.

Have to admit, that's a pretty funny picture! Some RCA's with that Bezel were CTC-17 Chassis, as well. Would be fun, but the (price) decimal needs moved one more place to the left. It's nice to see sets like that, still showing up!

Im guilty of passing by some of those on the curb after I dragged home a CTC24 with a toasted tire. Once bitten.... but now that vintage is rarely seen anymore.

That model was the preview of things to come!
CTC19, 20 and 24 same basic design, two stages of IF, 6GH8's gallore. Of course the 20 didn't have the PC correction circuitry, odd ball flyback, not used in any other RCA chassis. CTC27 and 31 was similar, one year later.
Curtis Mathes cloned that chassis, but used a 6KM6 horiz out. Tube didn't last at all.

I believe the CTC-20 was RCA's last roundie chassis.

CTC-20 was in fact the last RCA roundie chassis. I do believe some rca color square sets were made before the 20 though.

The CTC-17 was the first RCA rectangular, introduced in 1965. I'd like to find one. The CTC-19 was the 19" chassis, used in mini consoles and table models. The CTC-20 and 24 are both 6GH8 filled pieces of garbage. The CTC-16 was the last GOOD RCA roundie chassis.
