RCA NOS Inventory

Hi Everyone,

I recently bought a bunch of inventory from an old RCA distributor which has been out of business since the 80s. Most of the parts are for 60s and 70s color.

Below is a partial list, I've had to hire periodic help to get everything inventoried and I'm not through yet. When I get the list complete I'll post an addendum to this (and delete this part of the message.) I kindly request that you please not inquire about parts not listed because I simply won't know until the rest of the stuff is inventoried. PM me for prices which will include postage to the continental US. Some boxes have been opened but I otherwise guarantee the part is new (no solder on flyback lugs and stuff like that.) Thanks!

Looks like you got some Philco, Sylvania and Motorola stuff too. Couple of Miller part numbers in the list too.

Looks like lots of XL100 and Colortrack parts - bulk of the RCA stuff is for sets from 1972 to 1983ish. All the sets of my younger years.....

126/127 prefixed stuff is about the time of the CTC40/44 stuff.
13XXXX is almost always XL100
14XXXX parts are almost always Colortrak...

Without an RCA cross guide, can you also list the type (Vert, Power, Flyback, IF...) of transformer?

I wish my RCA mentor at Cain Electronics was still around - SHE had intimate knowledge of RCA parts and had encyclopedic knowledge of RCA part-to-chassis info. She used to amaze me with the "name a part" and she could tell you what it was - 99% of the time. Intimidating, but she shared her knowledge willingly. Of course, she'd order $10K of RCA stuff every other month, so she had to know.

The only other RCA guru I know is still in the business at PriestCain in Norfolk. He worked for Priest in the 70s/80s when they sold RCA and RCA SK stuff.

There are definitely a few 80s parts here. All of the descriptions are basically verbatim as listed on each carton. Flybacks are generally only labelled "Transformer" with a couple of exceptions. There are some CTC-15 or so era flys here.

I'm not really geared to go back through all of this stuff for a more accurate description, and what I have listed so far was done via hired help. I can definitely try to get a better idea of what a particular part is if someone inquires... most of what's listed "Transformer" is a flyback. I don't remember seeing any power transformers.

I'm hoping that anyone who needs a part will have a service manual, or at very least a Sams at their disposal. It may not all be the most desirable stuff, but it certainly deserved to be saved and made available.

AMEN!

Too often short-sighted folks dump stuff that is greatly needed elsewhere - tv parts, old test equipment parts, old car parts/re-build-able cores and even old computer memory SIMMs - not every computer got updated when MS released the latest Windows build. I sold some old 4 Meg SIMMs to a machine shop for one of their CNC machines....built in 1993.

Even worse is the hoarder that knows not what he/she has, or won't part with it....
