Buy this before I change my mind, I haven't even owned it for 24 hours

Took in this RCA 630TS on trade, was told it was fully restored. Fired it up, and nice clear audio and a really nice picture!

But! It is not restored! Much to my amazement, other than replacement of the wax caps which I was told was done in the late 80s, all of the electrolytics are completely original and working. Unbelievable.....which tells me that this set was kept in a temperature controlled environment all of its life. The cabinet condition leads me to believe this is so. All original finish.

Edit: SOLD

Here's 4 sets I'll be looking to sell…

$40 each small 1970s Zeniths:

1. 1971 12" b/w in a yellow cabinet - cabinet in good condition, antenna unbroken, tube chassis, can be watched as is but needs a yoke, good strong crt

2. 1976 13" chromacolor II - cabinet is a little rough, antennas broken, on/off switch won't turn off, but produces a great picture! SOLD

3. 1951 Motorola 14" b/w in a bakelite cabinet - no back, knobs, tubes. I have the power transformer, but it is not connected. - $20

4. 1957 Zenith 14" "bugeye" in a blue/white cabinet - untested, there's some dents on the sides, two of the small knobs on the top are broken, but the antenna and back are in good condition - $100

8BP4 - I plugged it into a set that takes a 7JP4, it works good - $100

I can post more pics if anyone wants to see one of these better...

And I'm looking for/will trade for:

1. Zenith 19" rectangular color table set, 4-tube hybrid chassis, with the SC500 remote
2. a good (with no cataract or green halo) 25GP22, 25AP22 or equivalent

FOR SALE: these sets will be in ETF auctions

Well, time to move on. Hard to cut the cord (pun intended), but have to move some out to move some "new" in. The DuMont RA-108 and Zenith Porthole will be in the auctions at the ETF Convention in May. Bid high, bid often!!!! 😁

1949 DuMont RA-108 Mansfield. Recapped. Good 19AP4. Good volume, raster, picture. Has some height/width/linearity issues. Also some signal issues. Needs further restoration work but big stuff done and working.

1951 Zenith Porthole. Chassis 24H20/24H21. Recapped and working great.

Wanted:
-Philco Predicta Holiday VHF channel and fine tuning knobs
-21FDP4 CRT (as long as the emission is good, used is fine)

For Sale:
-Sencore "CRT Champion" CRT tester $10
-Mid-70's Sylvania B/W Portable. (Need to measure screen size) SOLD!!
-Whatever else I dig out that I don't want!

Question- as this is my first time attending, can you sell non-TV stuff, such as radios or console stereos? If so, I have a few to part with...

Don't think I've been to an ETF meet where radios and audio stuff did not appear in the swapmeet.

Thanks! I know, kind of a dumb question, but some groups are more anal about what can be had at swap meets than others..

In that case I'll also have:
-Magnavox "Park Avenue" table radio. AM works, FM needs work $10
-Magnavox "Stereo Symphony" console. Recapped, AM needs repair (problem at selector switch, PM for details), TT/FM/AUX work well. Been sitting in my garage for 2 years and needs to go. $60 Update: SOLD!

Just over a month till the meet!

This is one of those "hey, you never know" things....

One thing I'm looking for are battery and crystal radios from the 1920s, and horn speakers. Also need a few 01As for a radio I'm working on here. If you've got something in great shape or lousy shape, let me know what you've got and what you're asking

Oh, also....

If you need Sams, now is the time

If I have it, it's yours for free.....I just need make, model, etc well in advance of the meet. I must've sent out Sams to at least 20 people since I got that huge load last year. Toss me a PM.

Also, if you need knobs it would be a good idea to post in this thread too!

Other things I'm looking for:

1. Boxes of used tubes....ugly, dirty, whatever. I help out a lot of people with tubes, and my stock's starting to get lower than normal.

2. Boxes of loose parts....resistors, rheostats, transformers, what have you. I don't mind huge tangles of parts that would take hours to sort....I've been a parts guy for almost 29 years, so I actually enjoy doing that

3. Altec speaker cabinets, huge ones. Never know

4. Turbo 350 trans and a driver's side headlight bezel for a '76 Nova. Again, it's one of those things that if you don't ask.....

5. Interesting wood radios from the 20s-40s that have cabinets that need help. Good friend of mine does woodworking and refinishing, and loves to work on that kind of stuff. I do the electronics for him, and in return he does refinish work for me.

6. Boat anchor general coverage receiver. I really miss my National NC-188.

7. Battery eliminator for 1920s radios. An old one....my plan is to build an AES one inside the shell.....so it can be ugly, rusty, etc.

Is the Airline knob brown or black? I have a brown one. Fits 1/4" knurled split shaft.

Thanks for looking. I got it without the knobs, and these have been hard to find. Right now I have 2 of the black ones, and one brown one - so I would go with either. I just want to get all 4 knobs the same size (I've been using one that's similar, but larger for the 4th knob). Here's some better pics of one of the knobs - it's 1" diameter.
