WTB: 7DP4 or Millitary substitute tube

Hello all,
The 7DP4 that came in my 621TS is shot. I purchased another 7DP4 from a fellow collector that was supposedly good, but it tests worse than the 7DP4 that came in my 621TS. I'm in the market for a CONFIRMED GOOD 7DP4, or preferably, the millitary substitute tube.
Thanks,
BL Moyer

Did you test the replacement in a working set, or just on a tester?

Tested both in a working 721TS chassis (the 621TS is unrestored as of yet; no reason to restore a set with a dud 7DP4). They have the "silvery" image a tube with a heavily worn cathode shows.
On my Sencore the 'good' tube won't even deflect the needle; the tube that was in the set shows extremely low emissions on the Sencore.
I'm not saying that anyone acted in bad faith here; the tubes are both ~70 years old, it's impossible to tell at this point when or why the 'good' tube went bad. I took a little gamble and lost. Not a biggie. I just need to find one of the military tubes so I can get the 621TS up and running again.

I contacted the guy who bought a bunch of the milspec tubes on ARF, he sold me one for a real nice price. Look for the thread and find his screen name, maybe he has another? I don't remember offhand who it was, or I would pass it along.

I don't know if there were any of this military versions of the 7DP4 in the lot. If there were any, they would have ended up at the ETF museum.

The thread I found was on ARF, not sure if it was the same person.
